How YouAssistant Recommends Categories for YouTube Channels

YouAssistant can show category suggestions as you review channels. Suggestions are based on text in channel descriptions and titles; you decide what to apply.

Get started with YouAssistant

  1. 1

    Open Channels

Go to the list where you can search, filter, and review subscriptions.

  2. 2

    Turn on Recommend

Select Recommend to display suggestions on matching channel rows.

  3. 3

    Apply a suitable category

Click a suggestion, then review the channel in its group and adjust if needed.

Suggestions use channel text

The feature matches channel titles and descriptions with built-in topic keywords. It is a rules-based helper, so a suggestion may not always be right.

Review and apply a suggestion

Turn on Recommend in Channels to show suggestions on matching rows. Click a suitable category; if it does not exist yet, YouAssistant can create it first.

Use suggestions as a starting point

Descriptions can be missing, short, or cover several topics. Check the channel and adjust categories when needed.

Spend less time sorting channels by hand

Group channels by topic and make your subscriptions easier to browse.
